Fall & Spring Steelhead
Idaho famous Steelhead fishing is at our backdoor on the Salmon River. Our guides have many years experience to ensure the highest possible success rate using a wide variety of both traditional and modern methods.This past 2006 fall steelhead run was one of the best on record in the history of the Fish & Game Department. We use fiberglass boats, comfortable and provide a stable platform from which to cast or a dory-type drift boat equipped with heaters. All methods of fishing are used, flies, back trolling plugs, lures, bait. leadhead jigs and floats. what every suits the enjoyment and level of skill of our fishermen. Fisherman size lunch is prepared consisting of homemade hot soup, deli sandwiches, fruit, homemade cookies and hot & cold drinks of your choice.
Summer Trout Fly Fishing & Spin Casting
In July & August we specialize in drift and wade fly fishing, dry or wet fly-fishing and/or spin casting depending on personal preference. Experienced or novice, our guides can explain any technique or strategy needed to catch a fish. We drift through a very beautiful section of the Salmon River, stopping to wade occasional good runs. We encourage catch & release normally averaging 20 to 40 fish days, ranging from 12 to 18 inch rainbow and cutthroat trout. Many of our clients are surprised and comment on the low amount of fishermen we see for the quality of fishing and beauty of the river. 1day-fishing trip includes a fisherman size lunch that you can pick from a variety of choices.
